Thinking that being a healer just isn't for you.

As a sensitive, light-worker kinda bunch, we tend to put being a healing pro up on a pedestal as something really special that is only for a select few who are blessed to have the resources or natural talent to succeed.
And if you’ve gotten that call, it’s your job to answer it. In fact, you may have even entered a soul contract to be a healer before you came into this life.

Not walking your talk as a healer.
When we’re starting out as healers, it can feel so sparkly and fun to play with all of our tools, work with the energy, and help people.
Working on ourselves, can be…not so much fun.
But when you walk your talk by working on your own healing, you put yourself in vibrational alignment with the very people that you want to serve, your would-be clients.
Walking your talk and being committed to your own healing path also clears the blocks and quiets the voices that tell you you can’t do this.

Being a "Hodgepodge Healer."
A Hodgepodge Healer is someone who’s read a lot of healing books, maybe has even taken some smaller classes, or has some natural healing talent. But they’re struggling to put everything together into a cohesive healing system that gets results – both for their clients and themselves.
The mistake is in staying here.
Instead, choose and master one comprehensive healing system with a proven track record of success to use as your container for all of your healing experience and gifts.

Thinking that Reiki training is Reiki training.
TRUTH: Reiki training is far from standardized.
Reiki curriculums vary drastically. Not just in content covered but how in depth this content is covered. And that’s just the beginning…
I often ask would-be healers, “Would you trust a doctor who chose to go to the cheapest school and where they were never tested and never got any of their questions answered by more experienced doctors?”
Probably not.
Deciding to be a professional healer is just as important of a decision. It’s not the time to take the easy way out. It’s the time to invest in your future. For your sake. For your future clients’ sakes. ❤️

Being too impatient with your training.
Back in Usui Sensei’s, Hayashi Sensei’s, and Takata Sensei’s (3 of the founders of Reiki) era, students worked with these masters over months and even years of time honing their healing skills.
But now we expect to go to a weekend class or download a quickie Reiki course off the internet and be certified in Reiki in 48 hours.
Becoming a healing practitioner is just one of those things that is better and actually saves you time in the long run when you take your time with it.
More experience and support now = Less struggle and wasted time later.

Having Perfection Paralysis.
Perfection paralysis will keep you stuck forever being a non-healer if you let it. The reality is, our mind may never feel prepared to heal others. Because we tend to think that we need to be further along than our clients in such massive ways. So it will never feel safe for us to put ourselves out there.
TRUTH: You only need to know 10% more than your client or student to actually be helpful to them. You do NOT need to be perfectly healed or be an absolute expert to be an incredible healing practitioner.
The antidote to perfection paralysis?
1) Walking your talk. It’s your insurance policy that you’re at the perfect place for you on your healing path and ready to hold the space for others.
2)Practice, practice, practice! Nothing makes you feel prepared faster to give Reiki than just doing it.

There is so much information in this course and it is so well organized! I am not someone who learns things in a day or two of live training, as I need plenty of time to let the information integrate. I like that these trainings are self-paced so that each learner can pick and choose how much time is spent on each lesson. As a previously certified and practicing Reiki II Practitioner, I learned a lot of things that I actually did not know about Reiki. This may be a self-paced online course, but Tarin responds with kindness and respect to all questions in the FB group. Even if you’ve already taken Reiki Level I or Reiki Level II with another Reiki Teacher, I do require that you take all of the Reiki levels as part of The Certified Reiki Master Course in order to be certified as a Reiki Master through The Reiki Guide Academy™.
The reason that I do this is that what I teach here is a complete system. I have put great care into developing the curriculum, and choosing what to cover and what to emphasize. Different Teachers teach and prioritize different information. And that’s great! It’s one of the advantages of working with multiple Reiki Teachers.
But since everything in this course builds upon and presupposes knowledge gained in the prior Reiki Levels, the only way for me to know that you have received all of the training that I require in order for me to certify you as a Reiki Master is to have taught you all of the Reiki Levels myself. Will I receive a "real" Reiki attunement? How will I know it worked? How many Reiki attunements will I receive?
You’ll receive a full, real Reiki attunement, performed by me in real-time to each of the 4 levels of Reiki that I teach during The Certified Reiki Master Course. That means you’ll get a total of 4 Reiki attunements!
Attunements are offered on a group basis (just like an in-person Reiki class) 3 times per month, in a variety of time slots to accommodate students in multiple time zones. You can schedule your attunement through a link in the course membership area. I also offer custom time slots for students who can’t find a time that works.
When I share Reiki attunements with my students, I take the time to prepare for them just as I would before an in-person Reiki attunement. I prepare my space and myself, and I encourage my students to do the same. You’ll also receive a guided meditation with lovely music to listen to during your attunement.
Then I use a surrogate, or stand-in, to represent each student. (I actually use a collection of stuffed animals, each labeled with the name of the student whom they represent.)
A full Reiki attunement is sent to each student. I do not use chi balls or time delays of any sort to send Reiki attunements.
It’s important to me that we connect as Reiki Teacher and student in a meaningful way as part of your Reiki training. And sharing the Reiki attunement with you in this way helps us to do that.
The attunement methods that I use have been used by me, as well as countless other Reiki Teachers, many, many times. They always work.
After your Reiki attunement, once you place your hands on yourself or someone else you should start to feel the energy begin to flow,which is a sensation which usually feels like heat.
And do keep in mind that your Reiki flow and ability to sense Reiki will keep getting stronger over time. But for the majority of students, it is strong and easily discernible immediately after the attunement.
What happens after I graduate?
After you graduate from The Certified Reiki Master Course, you’ll receive your final frameable certificate (your fourth one) with your name on it, indicating that you are now a Certified Reiki Master.
