How to Use Reiki to Choose the Consummate Cuisine

Do you struggle with what foods to buy at the store or what to make for dinner? Are you having a hard time figuring out which foods make you feel your best?

Then you need Reiki! Reiki is the latest, greatest, state of the art food determination device. With Reiki in your hands, you can find the perfect meal in minutes. All you need to do is turn it on, use it and eat! Voila!

Okay, sorry for the title. I couldn’t resist the urge towards alliteration. And that gave rise to the snarky intro…?

But in all seriousness, Reiki is a really awesome companion when it comes to picking your best foods.

It is not the latest. It’s been in use, in its modern incarnation, for almost 100 years.

It is the greatest. Seriously.

And I have found that it offers the perfect combination of innovation and reliability. If that’s not state of the art, I don’t know what is. Plus, it really is easy!

Why Would I Want to Use Reiki to Help Me Choose Foods?

So I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but there are so many options for food to buy (whether we’re talking prepared or ingredients). And it seems that there are almost as many options when it comes to what diet, or way of eating/lifestyle, to follow. It can be truly overwhelming.

Especially with so much false advertising in food, a lack of labeling of or clarity about questionable, or downright dangerous ingredients, and just a sea of vendors claiming that what they have to offer is the best. Add to this the ever growing catalog of diets and lifestyles. You have vegan on one end and Paleo on the other and what feels like a limitless variation in the middle. And once again, each proponent of these diets claim that their method is the ultimate health salvation.

Now I believe that (most of) these people mean really well. But the reality is that there is no one right way of eating for every person. (Wouldn’t it be so much simpler if there were? But that is sooo not the point of this plane of existence…) So how do you even begin to narrow down the choice? How do you choose the right way to eat for yourself, and even your family? And what if what is best fluctuates on a regular basis? AHHH!

There is no need to panic because Reiki’s got you covered. I’m going to show you here how to use Reiki to choose the best foods for you, and your family. It’s super easy, totally custom and very effective.

Ready to get started? Great!

Using Reiki At the Store (or Restaurant):

Step 1: If you have the Power Symbol, you can draw it over both of your palms. Then silently say the sacred mantra of the symbol three times to yourself.

You can also add the Mental/Emotional Symbol and the Distance Symbol. They may enhance your sensitivity and sharpen your results. But they’re not necessary. So if you don’t have the symbols or don’t want to draw attention to yourself by drawing them in public, or you just don’t feel like it, then skip it! No worries! This technique will work just fine without the symbols. It’s your intention that really does the heavy lifting here.

Step 2: Speaking of intention… Take just a moment to mentally set your intention. Saying something such as, “I activate my Reiki now. I ask that Reiki help me to determine if eating this food is the best choice for me at this moment in time.”

Step 3: Give yourself a minute to feel the Reiki begin to flow. If it’s taking a minute, you can also place a hand on your chest, tummy or leg (depending on if you’re sitting or standing) and get the energy flowing strongly and quickly.

Step 4: Next, scan your hand over the food in question. Or scan your hand or index and middle finger over the menu item in question.

Is the energy flow strong, hot and pulsating? Or do you feel almost nothing? Or somewhere in between?

Step 5: The strongest, hottest energy is a sign that this is the right food for you. It’s like being energetically attracted to the Ki in the food that your body needs at this time. Stay away from foods that don’t create an increase the energy in your hand.

Step 6: Be sure however, especially if the food in question is generally considered healthy, to come back in the future and reevaluate whether or not it’s still not the food for you.

Also do the same with foods that test positive for you. There may be a point when you’ve gotten all you can from them and your body needs a change. Resist the urge to get into a dietary rut!

Step 7: Along with the sensations in your hands, you may get a knowing, hear a voice giving you guidance about the food, or feel a pushing or pulling sensation in your gut. All of these ways are valid when it comes to using Reiki to help you choose your food.

You see, once you activate the Reiki, it isn’t isolated to flowing in your hands. It’s flowing throughout your whole body, activating your chakras and energy channels, heightening your intuition and calling in Divine guidance. So anything that you feel after setting your intention and activating the Reiki is part of the process and can be used to make your decision about a particular food.

Using Reiki to Test a Diet:

To do test for the best diet, have a piece of paper on which you’ve written the name of the diets that you’re interested in. Or, you could print out from the internet (or make a copy from a book) a description of the diet, including the “yes” foods and the “no” foods.

Also have a piece of paper on which you’ve written “At this point in time, is there a diet/way of eating that would be better for me other than the ones that I have tested here today?”  

In addition to, or instead of, testing for whole diets, you can test individual foods or groups of foods, for example, gluten or nightshades. So if you narrow down the best way of eating for you, say, to vegetarian, you can go even further and check if that means that you should still eat gluten or nightshades or put them on the shelf, at least for now. Taking this extra step can really help you to truly craft a custom diet. But be gentle with yourself. There may be things that you are not currently aware of. Just get on the best track for you at this point in time and be willing to adjust your course along the way. It’s a process and some of it will only happen in Divine timing. ?

Step 7: You can come back in the future and reevaluate whether or not every aspect of what you’re eating is still the best choice for you. Of course, if you’re feeling well and adding the appropriate amount of variety by rotating foods, you don’t have to do this.

Step 8: Remember, along with the sensations in your hands, you may get a knowing, hear a voice giving you guidance about food, or feel a pushing or pulling sensation in your gut. All of these ways are valid when it comes to using Reiki to help you choose your eating path.

Like I said, once you activate the Reiki, it isn’t isolated to flowing in your hands. Using Reiki to Check a Food Before You Eat:

Even after you’ve determined your best way of eating and picked out food at the grocery store, you can use the same method to check which meal to eat at which particular times. For example, even though you have the ingredients for making both a soup and a salad, which food would be best for your body right now?

However, once you’re in tune with your body, this will likely be unnecessary and you can simply follow your desires. But if you’re stumped about what to make for dinner, this can help you make a quick and easy decision!

You can also scan recipes before buying the ingredients or making them.

Using Reiki to Test Foods for Others:

You can also use this method to test food for others. The only difference would be that during the intention, “I activate my Reiki now. I ask that Reiki help me to determine if eating this food is the best choice for [fill in the person or animal’s name] at this moment in time.”

My only caveat with this is: Before using this with client’s, make sure that you make it very clear that you are not a nutritionist or Registered Dietician (unless, of course, you are), and that they should seek the advice of their physician before making changes to their diet. This is not because this method is ineffective, but because you need to legally protect yourself as a practitioner. And you really do want to make sure that you don’t overreach your scope of practice. That doesn’t help anyone and could hurt your client, you and the practice of Reiki in the long run.

But, you can freely use this with family, including of the bipedal, quadruped, avian, and aquatic, varieties, etc, as well as friends. Just use your common sense when seeking to help others!

NOTE: Do not use this method on known food allergens. If your child (or you, for that matter) have a known allergy to, for example, peanuts, do not test for products containing them. Simply stay away from them!

What Kind of Benefits Can I Expect?

Well, anytime that you’re freeing yourself from the paradigm of the one-size-fits all, cookie-cutter eating solutions, you can expect benefits. When you use Reiki to choose and craft the diet that’s just right for you, at this moment in time, you are truly honoring yourself for the individual that you are. You free yourself from arbitrary rules and instead get in touch with your body, and how you react to certain foods, as well as how you feel on a daily basis. By doing this, you can give your health the freedom to evolve. This means that you now have the tools you need to adapt how you eat over time. We are not meant to eat the same five foods until we die. Healthy variety is one of the keys to balanced life.

In more specific terms, some of the benefits you may see include:

 

  • More energy
  • Improved Digestion
  • Fewer bad reactions to foods, i.e. heartburn, upset stomach, or other food intolerance reactions (because you won’t be eating them anymore!)
  • Less general allergy symptoms
  • Better sleep
  • Enhanced mood
  • Less anxiety

 

The counterparts of these benefits are just some of the reactions and consequences that people experience from eating the wrong foods for their bodies. So the benefits that you experience will be unique to you!
