Your Crown Chakra: 5 Quick + Easy Tips to Heal Your Connection to Spirit
Your Crown Chakra: 5 Quick + Easy Tips to Heal Your Connection to Spirit
Could your crown chakra use some care or support? If you’re like many people, it really could. You may be one of them, especially if you feel like you don’t know what your purpose is in life, you’re chronically exhausted, and you feel like you just don’t belong.
Because the crown chakra is your source of spiritual connection, wisdom, and inner peace, when this chakra gets out of balance, it can leave you feeling, disconnected and ultimately, indifferent. Plus, this lack of spiritual nourishment can take a toll on all of your chakras.
But the good news is, you can begin to take a few quick steps today to start giving some loving attention to your crown chakra, which will support the health of all your other chakras.
What are the Chakras?
The chakras are a part of the energy body, or system.
More specifically, the chakras are the seven main energy centers in the body that regulate and process the flow of life force energy in and around each of us. Each chakra is responsible for supplying energy to specific parts of the body, mind and emotions.

Where is the Crown Chakra Located?
The crown chakra is the seventh chakra. It is located at the top of your head.
It’s associated with the pineal gland.
Here’s a diagram showing where the crown chakra is on the human body:
This chakra is also known as Sahasrara in Sanskrit. The meaning of Sahasrara is “thousandfold.”
What Does the Crown Chakra Do?
Your crown chakra is connected with how blessed and spiritually fulfilled you feel, as well as how open-minded you are. The health of this chakra greatly impacts your mental health and memory, and also if you have a personality that attracts others.
It also supplies energy to your skin and your cerebral cortex.
How Do I Know If My Crown Chakra Needs Support?
Signs of a balanced crown chakra include being at peace with yourself, and feeling a sense of oneness with all of life so that you never feel alone. If you don’t feel that this describes your life experience, your crown chakra could probably use some support.
If you’re still unsure, consider the following questions:
- Do you often feel uncertain or fearful?
- Do you feel “broken” or sense a lack of “wholeness?”
- Do you feel cut off from abundance?
- Do you have issues with depression or compulsive behaviors?
If you answered yes to one or more of the questions above, then consider trying out one of the following crown chakra health tips.
Your crown chakra is connected with how blessed and spiritually fulfilled you feel, as well as how open-minded you are.
What Can I Do to Support My Crown Chakra?
While chakra healing is a comprehensive field, you can take some quick and easy steps TODAY to start to bring healing and balance into your crown chakra.
Let me show you how easy it can be!
Tip # 1: Tap into the Energy of VIOLET (or WHITE)
The crown chakra is associated with the color violet, and also the color white.
This means that wearing the color violet, or white, can actually support your crown chakra. So throw on a charming violet dress, or a classic white shirt and start feeling your spiritual connection and sense of unity awaken!
If you don’t want to wear violet or white, you can simply gaze at either of these colors, such as a violet or white flower, a white wall or even a violet piece of construction paper. Anywhere that you can find some violet or white to look at will work perfectly.
Tip # 2: Breakthrough with a Breathing Meditation
A great way to increase the health of your crown chakra is by practicing meditation.
A simple meditation to try is a Breathing Meditation.
To do this, sit with your spine relatively straight, either on a chair or on a cushion on the floor. Don’t strain to make this happen – find a natural posture.
Then, get comfortable and just breathe normally through your nose. Don’t attempt to control the pace or volume of your breathing. Simply turn your attention to “watching” your breath as it enters and exits your nostrils. Just observe.
Thoughts and feelings will surely arise. The key here is not to attempt to chase them away or control them or block them from your mind. Just let them pass by your mind like when you’re riding in a car and watching the scenery pass by outside. Don’t get attached or try to control or capture or push away these “scenes.” Simply observe them.
If you are new to meditation, begin with no more than five minutes. Over time, as you feel ready, you can increase the amount of time that you sit in meditation to 20 to 30 minutes and beyond.
This is a skill that you are learning and it takes time to cultivate it. If you push too hard in the beginning, you will overwhelm both your conscious and subconscious minds. Then you won’t enjoy your meditation time and your subconscious mind will find ways to keep you from practicing. Be gentle and patient with yourself! 🙏
Tip # 3: Harness the Power of Crystal Healing
You can work with a crystal that supports the health of the crown chakra. Good choices include:
- Clear Quartz
- Sugilite
- Charoite
But don’t feel limited to these – there are many more choices available! Simply follow your intuition to find the crystal that is right for you.
Once, you’ve got your crystal all picked out, you can hold the crystal in your hand and “breathe” in the energy of the stone.
Or, you can place the crystal on your crown chakra. To do this, lie down with a pillow under your head and place the stone right above your head on the pillow. As you lie with the stone, do so with the intention of supporting that chakra.
If you’re new to crystal healing start with five to ten minutes, and then gradually build up to 20 minutes of this practice.
Tip # 4: Work with the Magic of a Healing Affirmation
You can also use an affirmation to support the health of your crown chakra.
Here’s a healing affirmation for your crown chakra:
“I am inspired, nourished and uplifted. I am connected with the Divine and feel a oneness with all life.”
You can repeat this affirmation, either out loud or silently to yourself, while meditating. Or, you can just say it whenever you feel like it, supporting your crown chakra, and all its many functions, throughout your day.
While you speak or think the affirmation, envision your crown chakra as clear of blockages, spinning freely, and as a glowing white or beautiful, bright violet color.
Stopping to visualize your crown chakra as healthy, while supporting it with loving, encouraging words throughout the day, is one of the fastest and most effective ways to make a difference in its functioning.
Tip # 5: Make Friends with a Yantra
Each chakra has a sacred symbol that represents it, called a yantra.
Here is the yantra for the crown chakra:
Gazing upon this yantra in meditation will help to clear, strengthen and fortify your crown chakra.
You can start by looking at this image with a very soft focus to your eyes. Don’t stare intently, just relax. You can start with as little as one to two minutes, and work your way up to ten or more.
That’s it!
Now, do as many of these tips as often as you can, and expect to see a difference in the weeks to come. Keep in mind, just like with any practice or goal, consistency is key. And doesn’t your crown chakra deserve some love and support?
Remember, your crown chakra is a critical component of your energy system, and supports your:
- Spirituality
